Visiting Heritage Park at the beginning of May is a family tradition. We’ve done it each year we’ve been here.
While the official opening of Heritage Park is the Victoria Day long weekend, the weekends around Mother’s Day offer a preamble of what’s too come as thousands of families wander the grounds to see a real live Thomas The Tank Engine haul the train around the tracks of Heritage Park.
The photo in front of Thomas has become one we all look forward to taking. Well everyone except Charlie. He has yet to smile, scared that Thomas will lurch down the tracks and run him over.
I’m looking forward to his reaction this year.
Schedule for A Day Out With Thomas at Heritage Park
You buy tickets to take a ride on Thomas every 40 minutes throughout the day on Saturday May 3, Sunday May 4, Saturday May 10, Sunday May 11 boarding at Midnapore Station at 9am, 940a, 1020a, 11a, 1140a, 1220p, 1p, 140p, 220p 3p 340p and 420p.
On Friday May 9, Thomas will leave Midnapore Station at 1230p, 110p, 150p 230p 310p, and 350p.
Note these ride times will sell out. You don’t need to buy a ticket to ride Thomas when you attend A Day Out With Thomas, you can purchase a Heritage Park admission and still get up close for pictures, take part in the crafts and games, and head over to the bakery for a butter tart, cheese bun, and gingerbread man.
