Taste Testing The Best Sandwiches From Your Childhood

Oh, the sandwiches you can make with these ingredients.
Peanut Butter. Lettuce. And Mayonnaise.
Oh sure, you turn your nose up at it, but if you tried it, things would be different. The crunch of the lettuce, the tang of the mayo, the smoothness of the peanut butter. Wow, I’m instantly 8 again whenever I have that sandwich.
I don’t know who invented it, or how it came to be, but that combination is one of the most magical things in the world.
Maybe your kids have some weird favorites too. I know summer has just started, but back-to-school is around the corner, and if lunch time planning always gets you down, maybe now is the time to start mixing in some fun new sandwich ideas to put in rotation for the fall.
After the jump, I made some of the internet’s oddest sandwich combinations of all time.

my fave sandwich as a margarine, iceberg lettuce and bologna sandwich made by my dad when I was in elementary school. makes sense because he liked to eat Ritz crackers with Tin Roof ice cream
