To Snip Or Not To Snip

To Snip Or Not To Snip

This post was originally written June 24, 2007.

Yes, that is the question.

We chose to snip. For many varying reasons, the most important being hygeine. Others including esthetics and similarity to daddy also played a part.

Really though, in 2007, it doesn’t matter. Sure, back in the day, all little boys got cut. Now, it’s about 50/50. We asked many of our friends and they reflected this reality.

In the end we visited Dr Pollock, the Cock Doc. All he does is vasectomies and circumcisions. You’ve heard of Puppetry of the Penis? This guy is the Penis Professor.

While he came with rave reviews and recommendations, Jen and I weren’t ready for the treatment we would get in his office. The doc himself was a bit of a mystery man as he had lined up 14 snips that morning. Our appointment was for 7am. The same as 13 other little boys.

A nurse ran us through the procedure, we each were assigned to cubicles, and then like removing foie gras from geese, the doctor swooped from room to room analyzing each patient’s readiness and administering the anesthetic. 10 minutes later he performed a similar routine and snipped off the fourteen foreskin.

We saw him for a grand total of 3 minutes. We were there 2 hours.

Zizou was great, he had 4 different pain control devices administered, so while it didn’t seem to “hurt” him, being strapped in to the plastic board, which kind of looked like a bondage bed for babies, was hard for Jen to take. There were many times I told her that we should just pack up and go – it wasn’t worth it.

In the end, she couldnt be in the room for the procedure, which was fine – she could go to the cash and pay the $400 to our fair Cock Doc.

Zizou made the cut. His privates prevailed, and now, a week later, he has a fully functioning friend down below.
