Instead of peanut butter, you can buy a product called WowButter. It tastes just like peanut butter but is made from soy, so it is totally safe for schools. It even has a "sticker" that you can attatch to your child's lunch so that the school knows it is made from Wowbutter and not peanut butter

Cmon Christopher.. you get the vegetables from lettuce, the grains from bread, the protein from peanut butter. You get some fats from the mayo and dairy when you wash it down with cold milk.

Balanced, baby!

Admittedly, I have yet to try this on my toddler, this is just my own favourite creation from my childhood.

Sorry, but the new gold standard is peanut butter, lettuce, and baconnaise.

The only problem with the sandwich is the PB. And It's a big problem for us. Liam loves PB, but he's not allowed any peanut products at daycare, in case other kids are allergic. Our neighbour's son goes to our local elementary school, and they have the same rule - no peanut-based products at school.

The (somewhat sad, but also hilarious) solution that Liam came up with? A plain bagel. With nothing on it. We don't know why, but he prefers that to honey, or jam, or cheese or anything.
